We are excited to have you stay with us. Here you will find more information about the property, amenities and rules, which are necessary to ensure that all guests are able to enjoy their time here with us.

If you encounter any issues on the property or within your unit, please contact Noe so he can coordinate resolution. Contact information is posted on the fridge in your apartment.

HOUSE RULES

1. This is a NON SMOKING property. As such, there is no smoking or vaping on the property or within the rooms.

2. No children under 12 are allowed on the property. Children over 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times outside of the room.

3. NO PETS are allowed on the property.

4. No drugs or illegal substances.

5. All guests that will be staying in the apartment need to be documented on the reservation (or added). No more guests than the room maximum will be permitted.

6. Property Quiet Hours are 11pm - 6am.

7. Swimming Pool Area - Hours: 7am - 10pm.

This area is for the use of all guests. Use of the swimming pool is at your own risk. No lifeguard is on duty. No jumping/ diving/ running in/around the pool.

8. Use of common area's like the pool and rooftop patio for parties of more than 6 guests require coordination with the other guests to obtain approval. We would also ask that quiet times be respected and noise levels are kept to an acceptable level during the event.

When giving taxi drivers directions, you can tell them that it is located behind the Chedraui just off Calle 17 – right before you get to the Corpus Christi church. Be sure to tell him it is avenue 15C not 15.

Check-In / Out Policies

This property has the following check-in and check-out times and policies.

Check-In: 2:00 PM onwards

Check-Out: 11:00 AM

Late Check-Out Hour: 2:00 PM

Late check out (after 11:00 AM and before 2:00 PM) may result in a fee.

If you'd like to leave your bags at Hummingbird Retreat after check-out, we are happy to hold them until your ferry or plane flight.

Room Cleaning

Daily/Weekly Rentals - Room cleaning will be provided on every 3rd day at 10am. Sheets & Towels will be changed on a weekly basis.

Monthly Rentals - Cleaning will be done on a weekly basis and you will be assigned a day of the week for cleaning.

Long Term Rentals (Over 1 Year) - Cleaning is not included, unless specifically added as a service.

Utilities

The property has fiber internet and each room has a separate router & wifi network

Network details can be found on your fridge.

All rooms include air conditioners and short term rentals we ask that you turn off the AC when not in the room as electricity is expensive on the island.

Short Term Rentals include all gas and electric costs.

Long Term Rentals (Yearly) exclude electricity costs.

Local Area

Shopping

There are 2 main grocery stores:

Chedraui – 7 minute walk from the apartment. Here are the directions:

Left out of apartment and left onto Calle 17. Turn right on Avenida 5 and then left on Calle Xel Ha.

The other grocery store is Mega – it’s about a 12 minute walk. Left out of apartment and left onto Calle 17. Continue til you reach the end (where the ocean is) – this is the Malecon. Turn right and walk along and you will pass a park and then turn the corner and then Mega will be on your right hand side and across the street will be Europea, liquor store.

If you continue past Mega, you will come to various stores and a cruise ship terminal mall called Punta Langosta. There is starbucks inside there plus various restaurants/shops/

Restaurants

Within walking distance of the property, there are several breakfast restaurants:

Silvias – Open everyday except Saturday for breakfast. Located on the corner of Calle 21 Sur and 5a Avenida Sur

Jeanies - On the Malecon across from Mega.

Rock N Java – Breakfast & Lunch - They are located across from Mega.

The island has hundreds of restaurants of all types of cuisine. Let us know if you are looking for anything specific and we can provide a recommendation.

Cinemas

There are 2 movie theatres on the island. Both are walking distance from the apartment.

Cineopolis is in the Chedraui complex – it is upstairs. If you walk down 5a Avenida Sur you will pass the entrance to the parking garage. Go inside there and there are escalators up to the movie theatre and some fast food restaurants.

Cinemax is in the Punta Langosta mall – Follow directions to Mega and continue past mega to reach the mall. Turn right just past the restaurant Taco Tequila and walk towards the back of the mall and you will find the movies. Really nice new theatres with comfy leather seats.
